About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Santa Rosa, Goguette Bread stands out as a truly exceptional bakery that transports you straight to the bustling streets of Paris with every visit. This artisanal bakery is more than just a place to pick up bread—it's a warm, inviting destination where craftsmanship and passion shine through in every loaf and pastry.

Goguette Bread’s menu is a celebration of traditional French baking, elevated by bold, creative twists. Their sourdough and baguettes deliver that perfect harmony of crusty exterior and tender, airy crumb that bread lovers crave. The Vigneron Bread, enriched with wine and walnuts, receives adoration from regulars like Elizabeth LaPlant, who describes it as "incredible," a unique loaf marrying rustic charm with sophisticated flavor. For those who appreciate a more savory snack, the ham and cheese sandwich and the sausage roll offer comforting, hearty options crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients and impeccable technique.

However, it’s the pastries that truly steal the show at Goguette Bread. Customers rave about light, tender treats filled with seasonal fruits like peaches and blueberries that melt effortlessly on the palate. One delighted patron, Allezmoy B., found herself enchanted by passion fruit ice cream and fruit-filled pastries so mouthwateringly delicate she forgot to snap a photo. Kentucky’s experience with carefully crafted flat pastries — a strawberry dessert bursting with blueberry notes and a savory flatbread topped with caramelized onions and baked cheese — highlights the bakery’s versatility and attention to detail.

What continually draws customers back, beyond the exquisite baked goods, is the genuine warmth and hospitality from the owner and staff. Emily shares how the owner’s energetic greetings and generous samples make waiting in line an engaging and joyous experience, turning a potential inconvenience into a pleasure. Lisa Rhorer notes how the bakery thoughtfully caters to gluten-sensitive customers, offering delicious gluten-free and sourdough options, ensuring everyone can indulge in these artisanal delights.

With its bustling atmosphere, warm greetings, and tantalizing aroma of freshly baked bread, Goguette Bread is not just a bakery—it's a joyful sensory experience. Whether you’re picking up a loaf of the coveted Zinzinrin, a decadent bread featuring chocolate and candied orange, or savoring a sesame pavé, this bakery remains a standout gem in Santa Rosa’s culinary landscape. For seamless convenience and to avoid the popular queues, placing your order online is highly recommended, ensuring you never leave empty-handed.

Goguette Bread truly captures the heart and soul of French baking with a Californian twist, leaving a lasting impression on both casual visitors and devoted foodies alike. It’s a place to delight in exceptional bread and pastries while feeling the warm, welcoming spirit of a community hub that takes pride in every bite.

Found this bakery late after work and was pleasantly surprised. Found a new favorite of passion fruit ice cream. Totally forgot to take a picture of the fruit filled pastries we purchased. This much I will say the pastries were tender and melted in mouth. They we filled fresh peaches and blueberries…so good!

Everything they make here is fantastic! Even waiting in line is a delight because someone brings you samples to try while you wait. The selection of bread is wonderful. My absolute favorite is the Vigneron, made with wine and walnuts. It's incredible! This season we absolutely love the Zinzinrin which is made with chocolate, candied orange and orange zest. We've tried a few of their custard ice creams, and they are also incredible. Please remember that they do not over sweeten their treats, So the flavor really shines through.

The owner is really really nice and greets all the people waiting in line with great energy and free samples. The olive bread is excellent, as are all their offerings. Order online first to avoid leaving empty handed.

Like you've stepped into a Parisian Bakery. The bread is fantastic! Im gluten sensitive and they make gluten free bread and sourdough based bread that's delicious. Recommend ordering online and picking up. There's always a line.

Ok, so this place was amazing food-wise. The bread was good, fresh, and obviously homemade. I loved their pastries and the variety they had. They looked well crafted and they definitely tasted well crafted. I, personally, got two flat pastries. The first one is a strawberry dessert with blueberries in the center and the second is a flatbread-type pastry with caramelized onions, baked cheese, and parmesan. Both were amazing. I will say, this is not a proper lunch place so definitely keep that in mind before coming. As for the service and atmosphere? Somebody came out to give us samples as we were waiting in line, which is already a plus, and the style was so very "little French bakery" that I loved it. Let me tell you, this place was better than some of the places I went to in Paris. Now, on to the couple things I didn't really enjoy. The first being when they open, because, opening up at 1:30pm can be really difficult for customers to come by especially when they live out of town but work in town and they just don't have time. The second is the way our cashier packed our bag. I don't know why she did it, but she put my two flat items (easily crushed items) on the bottom of the bag and put five different items on top. Getting my strawberry pastry out of the bag became an excavation project. Please please please bag this better! The third and last thing is probably the price. A single pastry was around 8-9 dollars which can be a lot of you add more things. Definitely a pay-for-the-quality place. Overall, I loved this place and it has earned its spot in my favorites.

Absolutely delightful. The two bakers we met were so kind and helped us make delicious bread choices. And we got espresso and gelato on the spot. I will never forget how incredible the bread is here.

Extremely friendly staff operating this amazing bread bakery! They have a ton of options to choose from, including savory and sweet. They also sell ice cream!

The only reason I could rate this less than 5 stars is to keep people from going here, so that when I go back I can have the whole place to my greedy, bread loving, minimal French speaking, undeserving self. Extra points for the reasonable hours!
